What Brings You In

Concerns The LINFA Method Treats

Puffiness, Heaviness & Fluid Retention

Puffiness, Heaviness & Fluid Retention

Swelling that has settled into the limbs or the face, a sense of heaviness or stagnation that does not clear with movement, or a body that simply does not feel like it is draining the way it used to.

Treatments+

Light directional lymphatic work clears the pathways, paired with fascial release that opens the spaces the fluid has to travel through. Aftercare guidance for the 24 to 48 hours that follow the session.

Causes+

Lymphatic vessels have no central pump and depend on movement, breathing, and skilled manual input to keep fluid moving. When that movement slows, fluid accumulates and the system needs assisted clearance.

Drains
Lymph clears, puffiness softens, the tissue feels less held
Releases
Fascia softens, restriction unwinds, range returns
Regulates
Nervous system downregulates, chronic tension lets go
Integrates
The body settles in the 24 to 48 hours that follow
The LINFA Method Process

What a LINFA Method session looks like

Sixty or ninety minutes, with the first ten reserved for intake. The work moves through three systems in deliberate sequence: lymphatic first, fascial second, nervous-system regulation woven throughout. The session closes with aftercare you can carry between sessions.

Step 01 · Assess
Intake before any hands-on work.

The first visit opens with ten to fifteen minutes of intake. Crystal reviews health history, current symptoms, prior care, any recent procedures or surgeries, and the daily load on your body. A brief contraindication screen follows. The session plan is built from what she finds. Pressure, sequence, and the balance between the three systems are all set at intake.

Details+
  • • Health history, current symptoms, prior care
  • • Daily load and stress pattern
  • • Recent procedures, surgeries, or medications that change the approach
  • • Contraindication screen and consent for the treatment region

When the LINFA Method Isn't the Right First Call

Red flags: see your physician first

Active infection, acute inflammation, untreated DVT, several cardiac and renal conditions, recent surgery without clearance, or sudden severe symptoms unlike anything you have had before. The clinical screen will surface these at intake, but if any apply, your physician is the right first call, not the clinic.

We screen at intake

Crystal runs a contraindication screen at every first visit and at the start of every follow-up where something has changed. Full health-history disclosure is required before the first session. If the screen flags a presentation that calls for medical assessment, the recommendation is to see your physician first, then return once the underlying cause has been ruled out or treated.

Sometimes a different modality is the better start

Post-cosmetic-surgery recovery in the first three weeks usually responds better to Brazilian lymphatic drainage, which is firmer and rhythmically paced for that specific window. Acute muscular pain often responds better to deep tissue or trigger-point work. Whole-body postural restructuring is the work of structural integration, a separate 10-session program. Crystal will recommend the better-fitting modality directly at intake if it applies.

Steps to your first consultation.

02

Step Two

Your first session runs 60 minutes by default, with a 90-minute option. The opening ten to fifteen minutes are intake and contraindication screen. The rest of the booked time is hands-on work across the three systems. You leave with aftercare guidance and a recommended follow-up interval.

01

Step One

No referral required. Book online at essentialchirormt.janeapp.com or call 905-856-2299. Crystal is the sole LINFA-certified practitioner, so booking with her directly is the only way to receive the LINFA Method.

03

Step Three

Most patients settle into a cadence of every two to four weeks for the first stretch, then a maintenance interval of four to six weeks once the system has calmed. Acute presentations sometimes clear in one or two visits. Crystal recommends a cadence at the end of every session based on what your tissue showed that day.
